Hot Tips for the Chronically Disorganized
(and the rest of us too!)
[ ] Create a place for everything and label each area and/or containers
[ ] “Do one thing at a time”
[ ] Follow rituals and routines - same time/same place
[ ] Work in short, measurable bytes. Give yourself lots of little rewards.
[ ] Use a digital timer
[ ] Breathe and slow down
[ ] Reduce paper: random bits & pieces don’t work
[ ] Habitually use only one daily planning tool - PDA, Outlook, Daily Planning book
[ ] Write down procedures with checklists and put the list in the exact same place every day (daily planner, Outlook)
[ ] Sort mail daily / discontinue subscriptions
